Three members of the Grounds team have used their annual University Community Volunteering Day to support the creation of a wildlife garden at a local primary school.

  • The pupils planted 129 trees (one for every pupil at the school).
  • A wildlife pond and wildflower meadow were created.
  • Raised beds were built and planted.
  • An edible fruit tree orchard was planted in a circular outdoor teaching space.
  • A living Willow arch was planted at the entrance to the garden.

Great job everyone!
