A few members of the Grounds team used their volunteering day at Poltimore House to help with path repairs, clearing drains and digging out brambles from an old border. It was very muddy work, but we are a hardy lot and mud is good for the skin isn’t it?!

Poltimore House is a Grade II listed building set in 13 acres of grounds on the outskirts of Exeter which is run by and cared for by Poltimore House Trust volunteers. It is a beautiful, historic and interesting place to visit with some amazing old trees in the grounds – and their Branches Cafe is fantastic!

The team had a great day and enjoyed working in a different garden with the volunteers. They especially enjoyed the cake!
