The Grounds team is excited to announce a new one-day development workshop taking place on the Streatham Campus. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone interested in horticulture, whether you’re a beginner or looking to build on your existing knowledge.
Date: 16th June
Time: 9:00am – 5:00pm
What you’ll learn
The day will explore the scientific principles behind successful horticulture, including:
- Plant naming and identification
- Understanding different plant types such as annuals, perennials, shrubs and trees
- Essential plant care techniques, including watering, feeding and pruning
- Practical approaches to pest management
Participants will gain valuable, practical skills and knowledge that can be applied in gardens, green spaces, or future horticultural roles.
Help shape future courses
This workshop is being offered at a reduced fee, as part of a pilot initiative. In return, participants will be asked to share feedback, helping the team develop this session into a more comprehensive two-day course in the future.
What to bring
Tea and coffee will be provided, but attendees are asked to bring their own lunch or purchase food from the cafes and shops available on campus.
