The University’s Grounds team are keen to understand whether there is interest for the University of Exeter Botanic Garden to run a practical horticulture course. To ensure that the content is as beneficial and practical as possible, we would be very grateful for any feedback you could provide by completing this survey. The survey will close on Friday 26th September.
The course aims to provide attendees with both practical skills and experience, as well as an understanding of the science and theory behind modern horticulture.
The course would be suited to someone with a keen interest in gardening looking to acquire advanced skills and knowledge. It would also suit anyone looking for a career in horticulture or with links to horticulture.
Drawing on the skills and know-how of the Grounds team who are responsible for the University of Exeter Botanic Garden, the course will offer hands-on experience of working in a garden setting. Our initial thought for this course is that it would run from March until October, to allow participants to acquire seasons-specific skills as well as general horticultural practice.
