The University’s first annual Veg Garden Plant sale, held at the Grounds Veg Garden on Streatham Campus, was a great success, welcoming staff, students and local residents.

Visitors enjoyed a wide range of heirloom and heritage vegetables, alongside herbs, flowers and some more unusual perennial varieties. Our campus honey was also available and proved especially popular on the day.

Despite the forecast of much-needed rain, turnout was excellent, with visitors leaving with cratefuls of plants and honey. The free tomatoes for the first twenty customers were quickly snapped up, adding to the excitement of the event.

Any remaining plants have since been taken to the Forum Shop or are being grown on by the Grounds Team as part of a friendly competition to grow the biggest tomato.

A big thank you goes to the Grounds Team for their hard work in organising and delivering such a successful and well-attended event!
