It also acknowledges the recent <strong>Double Gold Award at the 2025 Britain in Bloom South West Awards<\/strong>, a well\u2011deserved honour reflecting the team\u2019s expertise, dedication and environmental responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Across more than <strong>150 hectares of University land<\/strong>, our grounds include gardens, wildflower meadows, ponds and watercourses, woodland and historic landscapes \u2014 all maintained carefully to support biodiversity while enhancing the campus experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left has-larger-font-size\"><strong>Spotlight on Our Trees and Arboricultural Work<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A key focus of the article is the University\u2019s extensive tree collection, with around <strong>10,000 trees across campus<\/strong>. The piece features insights from <strong>Alex Adams, Arboricultural Manager<\/strong>, who leads the care and development of this remarkable living collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left has-larger-font-size\"><strong>Connecting Alumni to the Campus<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The alumni magazine also covers recent guided tree and garden tours led by the Grounds team, which gave alumni the opportunity to rediscover the Streatham Campus landscape and learn more about its history, including the 19th\u2011century planting of Reed Hall gardens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left has-larger-font-size\"><strong>A Proud Moment for the Grounds Team<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Being featured in the alumni magazine is a proud moment for everyone involved in caring for the University\u2019s grounds.
