Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Alissa Mello, is collaborating on a new\u00a0Punch and Judy<\/em>\u00a0show with the fabulous Spike \u201cBones\u201d Lidington, Tony \u201cUncle Tacko!\u201d Lidington, and Promenade Promotions (http:\/\/www.prom-prom.com\/<\/a>) in consultation with Naomi Paxton (http:\/\/www.naomipaxton.co.uk\/<\/a>) . The show is being developed as part of\u00a0The Judy Project<\/em>\u00a0(https:\/\/thejudyproject.exeter.ac.uk\/<\/a>), a three-year trans-historical study of women practitioners, and (re)presentation(s) of gender and identity in\u00a0Punch and Judy<\/em>. The show will premiere at the 49th Annual\u00a0COVENT GARDEN MAY FAYRE & PUPPET FESTIVAL (https:\/\/alternativearts.org.uk\/events\/covent-garden-may-fayre-puppet-festival<\/a>) celebrating Mr Punch\u2019s 362nd Anniversary on Sunday 12 May 2024 at St Paul\u2019s Church Garden, Bedford Street, Covent Garden, London WC2E 9ED.
This project has received funding from the European Union\u2019s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Sk\u0142odowska-Curie grant agreement No 101020076.
