{"id":279,"date":"2025-03-31T17:36:50","date_gmt":"2025-03-31T17:36:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.exeter.ac.uk\/cfmip2025\/?page_id=279"},"modified":"2025-07-01T17:34:46","modified_gmt":"2025-07-01T17:34:46","slug":"home-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sites.exeter.ac.uk\/cfmip2025\/","title":{"rendered":"CFMIP-CloudSense Meeting 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The CFMIP-CloudSense 2025 meeting will be held from 7- 10 July 2025 at the University of Exeter, UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">This 4-day conference will focus on the following topics, considering models, observations, and laboratory experiments on a wide range of scales:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\">\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Cloud processes:&nbsp;<\/strong>What processes control cloud phase, cloud radiative effects, and precipitation?&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Cloud microphysics:&nbsp;<\/strong>What processes control cloud microphysics, including cloud-aerosol interactions and their impact on climate?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Circulation and climate dynamics:&nbsp;<\/strong>How do clouds couple to circulations and what role does this coupling play in weather and climate?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Climate feedbacks and sensitivity:&nbsp;<\/strong>How do clouds respond to external perturbations? How do clouds influence climate sensitivity and patterns of change?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Energy Imbalance:&nbsp;<\/strong>How do we measure, model, and understand the factors controlling Earth\u2019s energy imbalance?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Convection:&nbsp;<\/strong>What processes control shallow and deep convection including organization, and how do these interactions affect climate and weather?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The conference will consist of oral presentations, poster sessions, and
