Simon Benham-Clarke

Researcher


Simon is a researcher based in the Children and Young People’s Mental Health (ChYMe) Collaboration at the College of Medicine and Health and the Graduate School of Education, University of Exeter. His research interests lie in children and young people’s education, well-being, mental health, social mobility and inequalities. Simon is working with Tamsin on the NHS Digital National Study of Health and Wellbeing: Children and Young People (which provide England’s official national statistics on children and young people’s mental health consultation) to help design the next wave of the study. Previously he has worked with Tamsin on the REflecting on the impactS of covid-19 on cHildren And young People in England (RESHAPE) project exploring experiences of lockdown, service access and education, as well as for a projects focused on relationship transitions and relationship education.
