The electrification of heat and transport will transform the electrical energy network infrastructure for both primary and secondary systems. Opportunities will surge with Challenges as we move forward with digitalisation. RESIN Workshop will be a non-profit technical event that focuses on bringing early career academics and professionals together with senior industrial and technical leaders to discuss these challenges and opportunities for the net-zero transition in energy sector. The technical themes of RESIN Workshop are three folds: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>(1) health and life of primary network plant; <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>(2) testing, simulation and analysis of secondary power system protection and control equipment; <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>(3) solutions to the cyber vulnerabilities; and <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>(4) preparing for a Net-Zero Energy future<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>as we move to a digitalised net-zero future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Join us in Exeter for this exciting knowledge exchange and enhancement opportunity. The RESIN Workshop will start at 9am on Tuesday 6<sup>th<\/sup> June 2023 and finish at 3pm on Wednesday 7<sup>th<\/sup> June 2023. He was the Head of Research at GEC Measurements, Stafford before he moved to academia, and he enjoyed an academic career being the Head of Electrical Energy &amp; Power Systems, Director of the Joule Centre and Director of EPSRC CDT Power Networks. He is also a Distinguished Lecturer of the IEEE, and a Fellow of CSEE<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide is-stacked-on-mobile\" style=\"grid-template-columns:15% auto\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"79\" height=\"96\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.exeter.ac.uk\/csg\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/111\/2023\/01\/DB.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-25 size-full\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>David Brazier is the Country Manager of OMICRON Electronics UK and Ireland. He has over 25 years of experience in the electrical and electronic manufacturing industry and his areas of interest lies in Business and Engineering Management, Power Systems, Energy and Renewable Energy, and Procurement. OMICRON is an international company serving the electrical power industry with innovative testing and monitoring solutions in more than 170 countries.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide is-stacked-on-mobile\" style=\"grid-template-columns:15% auto\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"170\" height=\"216\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.exeter.ac.uk\/csg\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/111\/2023\/01\/Picture1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-27 size-full\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>Zhongdong Wang (BSc Tsinghua, MSc Tsinghua, PhD UMIST) is a Professor of Electrical Power Engineering at the University of Exeter. She joined The University of Manchester in 2000 as a Lecturer and became a Professor in 2009. She is a Fellow of the IEEE and IET.
