Prof Sarah Hartley is Professor of Technology Governance at the University of Exeter. She is a qualitative social scientist studying the decisions that shape how technology is funded, developed, regulated, tested, and deployed with a focus on efforts to make technology governance more inclusive of a broader range of voices and values.

Dr Hugh F. Williamson is an anthropologist and science and technology studies (STS) researcher. He is currently Research Fellow at the University of Exeter, and from November 2024 will be joining the Technical University of Munich. His research investigates how data and digital technologies are managed, used and governed in practice, focusing on agriculture and the areas of the biosciences that deal with agricultural organisms.
