Prof Sarah Hartley is Professor of Technology Governance at the University of Exeter. She is a qualitative social scientist studying the decisions that shape how technology is funded, developed, regulated, tested, and deployed with a focus on efforts to make technology governance more inclusive of a broader range of voices and values.

Dr Hugh F. Williamson is an anthropologist and science and technology studies (STS) researcher. He is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Science, Technology and Society at Technical University of Munich. From 2019 to 2024 he was a Research Fellow at the University of Exeter. His research investigates how data and digital technologies are managed, used and governed in practice, focusing on agriculture and related areas of the biosciences.
