{"id":263,"date":"2016-10-17T11:09:18","date_gmt":"2016-10-17T10:09:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.exeter.ac.uk\/doctoralcollege\/?p=263"},"modified":"2016-10-17T11:09:18","modified_gmt":"2016-10-17T10:09:18","slug":"researcher-led-initiative-awards-funding-for-postgraduate-research-students-and-early-career-research-staff","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.exeter.ac.uk\/doctoralcollege\/2016\/10\/17\/researcher-led-initiative-awards-funding-for-postgraduate-research-students-and-early-career-research-staff\/","title":{"rendered":"Researcher-led Initiative Awards: Funding for Postgraduate Research Students and Early Career Research Staff"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>Would you like to be involved in professional development\u00a0here at the University of Exeter?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Researcher Development has a fund to support the development and cascading of personal, professional and career management skills by and for postgraduate research students and early career research staff\u00a0across the University of Exeter.<\/p>\n<p>The Researcher Led Initiative awards are intended to enable postgraduate research students and early career research staff to be creative, proactive, and empowered, through the process of initiating, designing, managing, and delivering new professional development activities for their peers that will develop the skills and experience needed to progress their careers.<\/p>\n<p>The awards will support short-term, well-defined initiatives that develop\u00a0and\u00a0deliver transferable skills training experiences and\/or resources to the applicants\u2019 peers across departments. Collaborative applications are encouraged. Applications will be reviewed on a case by case basis and all applicants will receive feedback after the awards have been allocated.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>There are 16 awards available:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>8 x \u00a3500 awards for Postgraduate Research Students in their 2<sup>nd<\/sup>\u00a0year or above and registered at one of the Exeter Campuses<\/li>\n<li>2 x \u00a3500 awards for Postgraduate Research Students in their 2<sup>nd<\/sup>\u00a0year or above and registered at one of the Cornwall Campuses<\/li>\n<li>6 X \u00a31000 awards for staff on Research Only contracts on grade E to G<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Award Categories:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are four award categories and applicants must state clearly which award category they are applying to on the application form.
