Zaaz Santhanam

I am a PhD Student studying the consequences of long-term population-level impacts to two species of Antarctic seals: southern elephant seals and Antarctic fur seals. I aim to answer my research questions about the pasts of these population using stable isotope analysis and historical ecology methods, while I plan to use predictive movement models of the species’ distribution over multiple climate scenarios to understand what may happen to them in the future. In my free time I like to run, surf, and play board games!
