This week as a bit of fun, I challenged the team to think about their research in a more creative way. To see if we could come up with some poetry using similes and metaphors to describe the research we undertake in the EM3 Team.<\/p>\n<p>I asked the team if your research was a colour, a day of the week, a type of weather or a piece of furniture what would it be?<\/p>\n<p>Here are some of our efforts:<\/p>\n<p><em>Green<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Tuesday<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Sunny + windy<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Shelve<\/em>s<\/p>\n<p>Our future will be green<br \/>\nBut we&#8217;re only at Tuesday so far<br \/>\nBut it&#8217;s sunny and windy, we&#8217;re going the right way<br \/>\nWe have shelves of microbes, shelves of minerals<br \/>\nShelves of chemistry, and shelves of rocks<\/p>\n<p><em>Blue<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Friday<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Stormy<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Desk<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Copper beach, copper leach<br \/>\nThinking on a Friday<br \/>\nHow does it leach<\/p>\n<p>Sitting at my desk<br \/>\nStormy day, no success with my leach<\/p>\n<p>A new start<br \/>\nSitting at my desk<br \/>\nAdd some bacteria<br \/>\nBlue solution, success at last<\/p>\n<p><em>Brown<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Tuesday<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Cloudy, but bright<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Wardrobe<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Sediment is brown like chocolate,<br \/>\nBright blue skies and fresh white clouds,<br \/>\nTuesday is the most productive day, I need an X-Ray<br \/>\nOpening the door of the wardrobe in to a Narnia of data<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As part of lockdown living, we have still been holding weekly team meetings remotely.
