The paper was written by\u00a0Jian-li Liu from the China University of Geosciences and seven co-authors (including Karen Hudson-Edwards). The work showed that Multi-metal resistance genes and antibiotic resistance genes were found to be co-selected by high concentrations of metal(loid)s in the tailings.
