‘5G and the tech sector are more than you think’ is an event which brings together an exciting group of people working on 5G technology (the 5th generation of wireless network). This event is designed for those who don’t necessarily have a technical background but are interested in finding out about different opportunities within the tech sector; learning about what 5G technology is and how it is set to impact every sector; and hearing from a recent CLES alumna working in tech.
The event is organised by multi-award winning 5G RuralDorset, a Department for Digital Culture Media and Sport funded 5G Research and Development project based in Southwest England. More specifically presenters include:
– Dave Happy – 5G RuralDorset Collaboration and Security Lead, Telint Ltd, Formerly VP Samsung R&D Europe, Exeter Alumnus
– Vicky Naylor – JET Engineering System Solutions Bid and Research Manager, Exeter (CLES) Alumna
– Mike Peck – Spirent Regional Sales Manager – UK&I
– Daisy Curtis – Geography PhD Researcher, University of Exeter, Digital Geographies of 5G
