Because of the move to quantitative research across academia, a wide range of PhD students, research staff and other staff within the university need to access and use advanced techniques and results from mathematical sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/mathematics.exeter.ac.uk\/\">Department of Mathematics and Statistics<\/a> is happy to share an extensive list of resources and links that may be useful: <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.exeter.ac.uk\/mathslocal\/links-and-resources\/\">https:\/\/sites.exeter.ac.uk\/mathslocal\/links-and-resources\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Research groups in the Department of Maths &amp; Stats run a number of research seminars that you can join: see <a href=\"https:\/\/mathematics.exeter.ac.uk\/events\/\">https:\/\/mathematics.exeter.ac.uk\/events\/<\/a>. You can contact members of the Department via <a href=\"https:\/\/mathematics.exeter.ac.uk\/people\/\">https:\/\/mathematics.exeter.ac.uk\/people\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Department has an <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.exeter.ac.uk\/mathslocal\/ecrn\/\">Early Career Research Network<\/a> that organizes and offers support: it is open to interested members from other departments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We aim to provide a forum as well as occasional specific events to support ECRs and their supervisors. Since researchers are embedded within a wide variety of Departments and Institutes we aim to provide a mechanism to develop and nurture links with the Department of Mathematics and Statistics in an informal and organic manner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We can provide signposts to more formal structured training, for example via one of our taught courses. See the links below for a full list of courses taught by the Mathematics and Statistics department:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.exeter.ac.uk\/study\/undergraduate\/courses\/mathematics\/\">Undergraduate programmes<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.exeter.ac.uk\/study\/postgraduate\/courses\/mathematics\/\">Postgraduate Taught programmes<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Postgraduate Research Student training<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If there is sufficient interest we may be able to develop bespoke or targetted training courses in some aspects of mathematical sciences, ideally for incoming cohorts of ECRs.
