Through the analysis completed in the ‘Plan’ section and areas you might have ‘Explored’ you can now identify possible areas for development.  You may have completed some of the suggested activities in the other sections of the toolkit so go back and look through them to see where you might have identified areas for development and growth. Also remember that upskilling isn’t just about courses and training, in today’s world of work experiences counts for a lot, so where can you gain relevant experience?  You will find some suggested ideas in the Take Action section of this toolkit. 

Some resources or course development options that might relate to areas you have identified are listed below:  

Skills training and related learning and development 

• Attend training: visit the suggested ‘Live Training’ to view current opportunities related to careers which includes CV writing, interview skills and confidence building amongst other areas.

• University of Exeter Student Career Zone – An abundance of resources, advice and guidance.  Click on ‘Student’ and your SSO details will take you through to the main site.  Includes mock interviews, CV writing tips and templates, links to wider workforce behaviour training and information. (Note: Staff are not permitted to book onto live learning events)
• Explore the universities selection of staff apprenticeship programmes, delivered by various training providers for your professional development.
• Self-directed learning: our LearnSmart portal offers a wide range of learning topics. Some of these are curated for you below but you may also wish to search for your own resources or check out the wider Career resources.
