The Higher Education Young Talent Alliance (HEYTA) was launched in 2018 to expand humanities-related discussion between the China and UK student communities. HEYTA is an important part of the UK China Humanities Alliance (UKCHA), which aims to promote the participation of students from China and the UK in global dialogue around humanities, and enhance their cultural understanding through the exchange of ideas.

In the past three years, the HEYTA conference has successfully been hosted three times by students from Tsinghua University and twice by students from the University of Exeter.
