HEYTA Conference 2024

About HEYTA and the UK China Humanities Alliance

The Higher Education Young Talent Alliance (HEYTA) was launched in 2018 to expand humanities-related discussion between the China and UK student communities. HEYTA is an important part of the UK China Humanities Alliance (UKCHA), which aims to promote the participation of students from China and the UK in global dialogue around humanities, and enhance their cultural understanding through the exchange of ideas.

Over the past three years, the University of Exeter has played a leading role in the UKCHA as the lead institution for the wider UK membership, working alongside the UKCHA secretariat at Tsinghua University in fostering collaboration and understanding among 17 member universities across the two nations. In the past three years, the HEYTA conference has successfully been hosted three times by students from Tsinghua University and twice by students from the University of Exeter.
