I also love playing hockey, dancing and care a lot about the environment. I am honoured to be chairing this year’s conference which promotes global co-operation in humanities education on pressing global matters. I can’t wait to meet all the nominated students from across the UK and China and hope they will enjoy the conference we have organised. I am sure we will learn a lot from it!”

“I am studying for my PhD in the Languages, Cultures, and Visual Studies (LCVS) department at Exeter. My research investigates the effects of linguistic diversity on perceptions of national identity in an educational context. I am interested in multilingualism, identity, education, and intercultural communication, reflected in my role as a Postgraduate Teaching Associate, as I primarily teach on modules relating to these areas. All my university studies have been at Exeter, and I am now under the supervision of Francesco Goglia (primary supervisor) and Gabriela Meier (secondary supervisor). Apart from my research and teaching, I enjoy various cultural activities.”
