Professor Richard Overy has written on the Holocaust as part of his work on the Third Reich and the Second World War. He taught a module on ‘Interpretations of the Holocaust’ at Exeter for seven years before retiring from teaching. His article on perpetrators was published in 2015 in a special issue devoted to the fiftieth anniversary of the Milgram experiment on obedience. He has contributed a chapter to the forthcoming Cambridge Companion to the Holocaust on ‘Lebensraum’. Richard has lectured widely in schools and for the Holocaust Educational Trust on aspects of the Holocaust.
