He taught a module on &#8216;Interpretations of the Holocaust&#8217; at Exeter for seven years before retiring from teaching. His article on perpetrators was published in 2015 in a special issue devoted to the fiftieth anniversary of the Milgram experiment on obedience. He has contributed a chapter to the forthcoming Cambridge Companion to the Holocaust on &#8216;Lebensraum&#8217;.
