Dr Annika Jones is an Associate Professor in Law at the University of Exeter. She joined the Law School in 2022. Prior to this, she was an Associate Professor in Law at the University of Durham. In 2009, she worked in the Chambers of the International Criminal Court (ICC), in the Appeals and Trial Divisions. From 2007-2012, she worked on the development of the ICC\u2019s National Implementing Legislation Database, one of the ICC\u2019s digital legal tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Annika\u2019s current research focusses on the inclusivity of victim participation schemes in international criminal justice processes, including at the International Criminal Court. Annika\u2019s research has also examined the pursuit of efficiency in international criminal courts and tribunals and the impact of efficiency-building on the nature and function of these institutions. Her articles on this topic have been published in the\u00a0Journal of International Criminal Justice<\/em>\u00a0and the\u00a0International Criminal Law Review<\/em>. Another strand of her research addresses the nature, scope and consequences of judicial interaction in the adjudication of international crimes. This research includes articles published in the\u00a0North Carolina Journal of International Law<\/em>\u00a0and the\u00a0Human Rights Law Review<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
