How did hosting an intern via the Professional Pathways programme benefit you and your organisation?
Our intern completed an impact survey and a 360 look at our organisation which we will be using for our next round of fundraising.
How was your experience of hosting a Pathways intern?
It went very smoothly and our intern worked across both of our sites and settled in fantastically with the people who we support with additional needs.
Given the Professional Pathways internship is 35 hours in total, how would you recommend ensuring both you and your intern(s) gain as much as possible from the experience?
We had a clear goal for what she was going to do, prepared the materials beforehand and made sure it was achievable in the time frame.
Why would you recommend Professional Pathways to other employers?
It allowed us to use someone’s expertise and tap into her skills and add a different dimension to our way of working.
What advice would you give to a student considering applying for Professional Pathways?
Go for it – a good way to immerse yourself in an organisation and see what diversity of job prospects are available.
