Description of Organisation:
Underpinned by the tenets of the boxing lifestyle – discipline, mindfulness & love – BOXRAW was founded in 2017 to represent an attitude toward life. Paying homage to boxing culture, the people and the community; we’re on a mission to demonstrate the power of boxing to the world and become a badge of pride that says ‘I’m fighting for something.’ We produce game-changing boxing equipment, training, and athleisure wear for those who fight to compete, those who fight to stay fit and those who are fighting for something. In every mind is a fighter and we accompany every boxing journey; whether it’s to grow confidence, strengthen fitness, or become a World Champion.
What was your biggest achievement on your internship?
My biggest achievement during my internship was producing content for BOXRAW’s social media pages as well as producing various presentations on strategies that the brand could implement for their social media campaigns and paid ads campaigns.
Were there any challenges and how did you overcome these?
At the start of my internship, I struggled with not knowing how to use specific software. I overcame this challenge by staying persistent and dedicating time after work to learn the necessary skills. If I continued to struggle with certain aspects, I spoke with members of the BOXRAW team for help.
Would you recommend this internship scheme to other students?
Yes I would recommend this this internship scheme as it is a great way to gain experience in an industry or sector that you are interested in whilst also being supported by the University. As a result of this experience I will be applying for another internship.
