What was your biggest achievement on your internship?
Getting to work and develop skills I had never used before, such as working with machinery and in seed identification.
Were there any challenges and how did you overcome these?
It can be intimidating to feel inexperienced in new work environments, but by talking with my manager and colleagues I quickly managed to get any help I needed and become confident in my tasks.
Would you recommend this internship scheme to other students?
Yes I would recommend the A2I internship scheme as it has the ability to provide funding that supports paid opportunities with organisations that wouldn’t otherwise be able to provide an internship opportunity.
If you would like to find out more about the A2i scheme, you can contact the team via a2i@exeter.ac.uk. You can also visit the student and employer facing webpages here.
