Description of Organisation:
Based within the Finance, Infrastructure and Commercial Services Division, the Sustainability Team is a major contributor to delivering on the University’s Strategy 2030 commitment to ‘lead meaningful action against the climate emergency and ecological crisis.’ The team has responsibility for delivering on the University’s net zero and environmental net gain targets and this role will be support the delivery of sustainability education commitments. The team consists of 16 members of staff with posts dedicated to circular economy, travel, energy, biodiversity and data. We are a friendly team and look forward to welcoming you.

How has your intern made a positive contribution?
Serena progressed two key projects which I would not have had capacity to do, by digitising 10 years of bird survey data and extracting data from multiple ecological consultant reports on bat surveys completed on campus. She also assisted with multiple ecological surveys on campus, saving time by taking photos and entering data.
