We’re the place for people who want to make a difference to the lives of foals, horses and ponies. The Mare and Foal Sanctuary rescues horses and ponies that have been abandoned, neglected or abused. We also ensure that horses and ponies have a sanctuary for life. Most horses and ponies are given care for life through our network of knowledgeable carers. Our equine centered approach to equine assisted learning enables us to create a sense of sanctuary for people within our sanctuary for horses and ponies.

How has your intern made a positive contribution?
During her internship, you could completely trust Ellen to deliver – she completed tasks on time and delivered exactly what we asked for. We’re currently short staffed so Ellen was able to cover social media content creation, an area we really needed support with. This allowed other members of staff to get with other work. Ellen collaborated with our Fundraising Officer to develop a social media content plan for specific days of interest. This has been really useful.
