The Department of Public Health and Sport Sciences undertakes impactful research and teaching across all three university themes: Health, Environment and Social Justice.

Job Summary:

The role involved peer supervision of protocol implementation, supervision of sample analysis, and support in the analysis of bioinformatics data.

What was your biggest achievement on your internship?

I supervised a group of students in a research project and I am currently writing up the results of my internship research in a paper to be published.

Were there any challenges and how did you overcome these? 

There were no challenges.

As a result of my internship… 

  •  I have improved my communication, teamwork, and problem solving skills.  
  • My job prospects have improved by expanding my CV and what I can draw upon in interviews.  
  • I have learned more about the skills I need and the options available to me in future.  
  • My overall confidence has increased.
