What was your biggest achievement on your internship?
I supported the successful running of the Careers, Coffee and Conservation seminars by actively reaching out to inspirational conservationists and helping coordinate their visits to the university to deliver talks and workshops on careers in the environmental sector. This experience challenged my communication, confidence, personal growth and organisational skills. The sessions were a success, receiving positive student feedback and a commitment to continue to run them next year!
Were there any challenges and how did you overcome these?
Finding time during my final year was sometimes a challenge, but with carefully curated timetables it was manageable and a good break from studies!
What were your reasons for undertaking this internship?
