What was your biggest achievement on your internship?  

 The research document I produced was my biggest challenge as it will help my line manager with their research. As well as developing my overall confidence in working in a professional academic manner. 

Were there any challenges and how did you overcome these?   

 The main challenge I faced was not receiving precise instructions on what my line manager expected or wanted me to produce, so I felt a little lost and confused. However, after I addressed these worries, my manager immediately put me at ease and gave me further detailed instructions, which allowed me to complete the required tasks. 

What were your reasons for undertaking this internship?    

  • To gain experience and knowledge within a specific occupation or field.  
  • To build new connections  
  • To improve my job prospects by expanding my CV and what I can draw upon in interviews.  
  • To earn money  

As a result of my internship…

Yes, I would recommend this internship scheme to other students because I think it helps prepare you for professional work after university. Also, gaining connections within the University of Exeter is extremely helpful.
