It really pushed me to take ownership, communicate with different stakeholders, and deliver something that will have a real impact on the city.
As a result of my internshipā¦
- I have improved my communication, teamwork, and problem solving skills.
- My job prospects have improved by expanding my CV and what I can draw upon in interviews.
- I have learned more about the skills I need and the options available to me in future.
- My overall confidence has increased.
How the A2i bursary helped:
I used the bursary to help cover travel costs, as I live quite far from the office location. It made a big difference ā without it, commuting regularly would have been financially stressful. The support allowed me to focus fully on the internship and make the most of the experience without worrying about transport expenses.
Other comments about the scheme:
A2i gave me the chance to lead a real project, build confidence, and connect with professionals; it turned out to be one of the most rewarding parts of my university experience.
