Name of Organisation: The Cornish Seaweed Company
Description of Organisation:
Based on the wild and beautiful Cornish coast, we responsibly harvest seaweed straight from the ocean, to your plate. Our practices are underpinned by a deep respect for where we live and the strong desire to preserve the marine environment. We like to give our seaweed a haircut, allowing it to simply regrow as before, which ensures it continues to provide habitats for countless organisms.
Harvesting seaweed is one of the most environmentally friendly ways to obtain a one of the most nutrient-rich food sources widely overlooked in the UK. We love the closeness that seaweed harvesting gives us to nature. As labour-intensive as it can be, we wouldnāt have it any other way.
