The Language Centre at the University of Exeter is a great place to learn a language, whether for study, work or just for fun. We provide excellent teaching by suitably qualified and experienced professionals, so that learning a language is both enjoyable and rewarding. 

What was your biggest achievement during your internship? 

The social media posts I created. 

Were there any challenges during your internship and if so, how did you overcome these? 

Despite working collaboratively on projects with other assistants and members of staff, we were rarely doing so in the same place at the same time. This could make coordinating our parts of projects quite a long process at times. This was unavoidable and no one’s fault – everyone fulfilled their roles well and in as soon as they could. 

What were your reasons for undertaking this internship?   

  • To improve my job prospects by expanding my CV and what I can draw upon in interviews. 
  • To gain experience and knowledge within a specific occupation or field. 
  • To earn money.

  • I have improved my communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. 
  • My job prospects have improved by expanding my CV and what I can draw upon in interviews.

Yes, I would recommend this internship scheme to other students. It is really good experience and does not take too much time away from your studies.
