Description of Organisation:

We are Exeter’s leading health & wellbeing charity working in partnership with Exeter City Football Club. We deliver inspiring physical activity, education, health and wellbeing programmes and courses primarily across Devon and Somerset for all members of the community regardless of ethnicity, age, gender, physical ability, background or economic status. While football is our beating heart, our work in the community has grown to extend far beyond. Our health, education, wellbeing and physical activity programmes reach over 45,000 members of our community each year and around 48% of those programmes are not football.

How has your intern made a positive contribution?

Ed got straight involved from the off, offering his assistance in a variety of different roles which demonstrated his eagerness and willingness to learn and develop. Ed worked closely alongside me to run a summer HAF project for refugees living in Exeter, and done a fantastic job in supporting the implementation of this new project. He was a joy to have with us when delivering the programme, and was excellent behind the scenes organising admin. Ed contributed heavily to this amazing programme, of which due to it’s success will be delivered again during future school holidays.

Feedback:

Ed is now working full-time for the trust in a GBP role following his successful internship. Ed is great to work with and is always keen to be involved in new projects and programmes. He brings positive energy to his work, listens well and delivers confidently. It was great to manage Ed during his A2I internship.
