Description of Organisation:
Biosciences at Exeter sits within the Streatham Campus, a registered botanic garden and readily acknowledged as one of the most beautiful in the country. Here, we explore the biology and chemistry that underpins our complex, dynamic natural world, creating new knowledge, communicating it to a wide audience, and applying it to some of societyās biggest issues.
Name of Employer: Joe Costello
Job Title: Lecturer in Molecular Cell Biologist
Internship Scheme used: Access to Internships
How did your interns make a positive contribution?
Lara was able to establish experimental protocols for a new cell line which will nicely complement our other work. This is a task we have been meaning to do for a while but it always got pushed down the priority list. But now we know this works we can utilise this system.
Summary of your experience:
Overall, another excellent experience with the A2i scheme. My intern was highly motivated and productive and the A2i team made the whole process very simple for me – for once University admin was very minimal! I would happily do this again next year.
