The Physics and Astronomy Department at the University of Exeter is a leading academic hub focused on cutting-edge research and innovative teaching. The department excels in areas such as astrophysics, quantum systems, and materials physics. It is particularly renowned for its work in astrophysics, exploring topics like star and planet formation, exoplanets, and interstellar medium dynamics, often leveraging data from prominent facilities like the Hubble Space Telescope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What was your biggest achievement on your internship?<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think the main skill I gained from this experience was improving my coding skills and learning ways to deal with lots of different datasets and scripts. This allowed me to have a better understanding of what I was doing and support me in sharing my work and findings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Were there any challenges and how did you overcome these?<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I did run into a few issues with certain sets of data, but the supportive environment of being surrounded by people who have gone through the same issues made me comfortable to ask questions and improve my understanding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Would you recommend this internship scheme to other students?<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes I would recommend the A2i scheme. The fact that I wanted my internship to be longer highlights the value and positive impact of this internship scheme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
