With award winning research, immersive fieldwork and cutting\u2011edge labs, the Centre educates and inspires the next generation of conservation leaders while driving solutions to the biodiversity crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What was your biggest achievement on your internship?<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I supported the successful running of the Careers, Coffee and Conservation seminars by actively reaching out to inspirational conservationists and helping coordinate their visits to the university to deliver talks and workshops on careers in the environmental sector. This experience challenged my communication, confidence, personal growth and organisational skills. The sessions were a success, receiving positive student feedback and a commitment to continue to run them&nbsp;next year!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Were there any challenges and how did you overcome these?&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Finding time during my final year was sometimes a challenge, but with carefully curated timetables it was manageable and a good break from studies!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What were your reasons for undertaking this internship?&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>To gain experience and knowledge within a specific occupation or field.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>To improve my job prospects by expanding my CV and what I can draw upon in interviews.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>To earn money&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>As a result of my internship\u2026&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>I have improved my communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>My job prospects have improved by expanding my CV and what I can draw upon in&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>interviews.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>I have learned more about the skills I need and the options available to me in the future.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>I have developed specific skills that could help me in the future.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>My overall confidence has increased.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>During the internship&#8230;<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>I received learning and development opportunities which could be helpful for my career (e.g., online courses, research development or mentoring).&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>I was able to complete the tasks assigned to me.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>I received regular feedback from my manager\/supervisor.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>I received sufficient training to undertake the role.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Overall, this internship has been a positive experience.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Would you recommend this internship scheme to other students?&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes, I would recommend this internship scheme to other students as it is supportive, fun and a great development opportunity.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Name of Student:&nbsp;
