We believe creative activity is a vital, often overlooked human right that helps us connect, contribute, and care for our diverse cultures. We run a public funded project called The Active Looking Project, in July we begin the second iteration of a project, now in its third year.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Active Looking Project (ALP) provides a culture of hope through collaboration and shared ownership in Camborne, Pool and Redruth. By paying attention and noticing the world around us, we develop perspective, externalise thoughts and strengthen our mental flexibility. We champion creativity as democratic, non-hierarchical exchange that gives an authentic voice to less privileged communities, empowering people to define the future they want. Through this, we build resilience, happiness, and a sense of possibility.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Please briefly outline the project\/tasks\/responsibilities you worked on during your Professional Pathways internship.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;During my Professional Pathways internship with Mitber CIC, I developed a Freelancer Toolkit for new facilitators joining the organisation. My role involved reviewing existing policies and resources, creating clear and accessible guidance, organising content into an easy-to-use format, and incorporating feedback from the team to produce a practical resource that will support future facilitators and creatives working with the organisation.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How has the Professional Pathways programme helped you in taking the next steps in your career?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;The Professional Pathways programme gave me the opportunity to apply the knowledge I gained during my MBA in a real organisational setting. The training prepared me for the internship, while the project itself strengthened my communication, project management, and problem-solving skills. It also gave me valuable experience working independently with an external organisation, which has increased my confidence as I begin my graduate career and apply for professional roles.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What achievement(s) were you particularly proud of during your Pathways internship?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;My biggest achievement was successfully developing and delivering the Freelancer Toolkit within the project timeline. Knowing that the resource will continue to support future facilitators joining the organisation made the project especially rewarding. It was satisfying to create something with a lasting impact while managing the project independently and responding to feedback throughout the process.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Why would you recommend the Professional Pathways programme to other students?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;I would highly recommend the Professional Pathways programme because it gives students the opportunity to gain meaningful, real-world experience while still at university. It allows you to work on genuine projects, develop transferable skills, build confidence, and understand what it is like to work with an organisation.
