Dr Mike Allen is an algal biotechnologist at Exeter University and Co-founder & CSO of Seaweed Generation. Mike’s work focuses on the use of algae as foods, feeds, nutraceuticals, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, fuels, fertilisers, materials and carbon capture. Mike has also helped develop a range of genetically modified microalgae strains for the aquaculture industry featuring optimised omega 3 contents, antimicrobial peptides, antibodies against diseases, growth hormones and gut health/energy associated enzymes.
