The UK Sustainable King Prawn Project

Trystan Sanders

Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Aquatic Animal Physiology, Biosciences, University of Exeter

Profile

Dr Sanders is an aquatic animal physiologist interested in animal-environment interactions. Much of my previous work has studied the impacts of seawater chemistry on exoskeleton production, metabolism and growth in marine invertebrates. His role on the project is to run laboratory experiments and field farm trials optimising water chemistry and dietary composition to facilitate improved growth, health and overall production of prawns reared in recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS).
