He is a professional writer and editor who is here to help you improve your academic writing skills. He is available to all students whether you are an undergraduate or postgraduate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This provision complements our own law skills activities and the university&#8217;s study skills. It is particularly helpful in focusing on non-subject specific writing advice with dedicated one-to-one support. Christopher<strong> <\/strong>offers one-to-one academic writing tutorials in person and online. The sessions last up to 50 minutes and are free and confidential. They can focus on any aspects of your written communication and are intended to be useful however good your writing is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Possible topics might include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>essay planning and structuring your argument<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>how to make a draft clearer and more economical<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>rewriting and editing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2018writer\u2019s block\u2019<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>or understanding an essay question.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The choice is yours, whatever you and Christopher think would be most helpful. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">BOOKING INFORMATION:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Christopher is available on <strong>Tuesdays in Boardroom 2<\/strong>, near the Moot Court. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also offers <strong>video tutorials on Wednesdays. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To arrange a session of either of these days <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"mailto:chris.wakling@rlfeducation.org.uk\" data-type=\"mailto\" data-id=\"mailto:chris.wakling@rlfeducation.org.uk\" target=\"_blank\">please email Christopher<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em><strong>Please note:<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>*To make the most of your session <a href=\"mailto:chris.wakling@rlfeducation.org.uk\" data-type=\"mailto\" data-id=\"mailto:chris.wakling@rlfeducation.org.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">email Christopher a sample of your writing<\/a> <strong>in advance<\/strong> of your meeting. Alternatively, please have it available for the tutorial.
