{"id":2253,"date":"2023-10-05T15:22:54","date_gmt":"2023-10-05T15:22:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.exeter.ac.uk\/lawbulletin\/?p=2253"},"modified":"2023-10-17T09:01:11","modified_gmt":"2023-10-17T09:01:11","slug":"bursary-opportunity-sutton-trust-alumni","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.exeter.ac.uk\/lawbulletin\/2023\/10\/05\/bursary-opportunity-sutton-trust-alumni\/","title":{"rendered":"Bursary Opportunity: Sutton Trust Alumni"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Closing Date 13 October<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>WHAT IS AN OPPORTUNITY BURSARY?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>As <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suttontrust.com\/alumni\/opportunity-bursary\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.suttontrust.com\/alumni\/opportunity-bursary\/\">Sutton Trust<\/a> alumni, you can apply for a bursary between \u00a32500 and \u00a35000, which will enable you to access opportunities that boost&nbsp;your&nbsp;employability.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The money can be used&nbsp;to fund&nbsp;a range of&nbsp;activities such as&nbsp;an overseas internship or work placement, a&nbsp;professional qualification&nbsp;or a&nbsp;voluntary role, by reducing the need for paid part-time work.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To be eligible you need to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>be an alumnus of the Sutton Trust or the Social Mobility Foundation\u2019s Aspiring Professionals Programme with JP Morgan<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>have completed at least one year of undergraduate study<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>be enrolled onto an undergraduate or postgraduate course in the academic year 2023\/24<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>be studying at a UK university.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>60% of bursaries will be awarded to students from Black and other Ethnic Minority backgrounds, and within this 30% will be awarded to Black students.
