{"id":3085,"date":"2024-02-29T16:32:56","date_gmt":"2024-02-29T16:32:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.exeter.ac.uk\/lawbulletin\/?p=3085"},"modified":"2024-02-29T16:41:32","modified_gmt":"2024-02-29T16:41:32","slug":"paid-research-support-internships","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.exeter.ac.uk\/lawbulletin\/2024\/02\/29\/paid-research-support-internships\/","title":{"rendered":"Paid Research Support Internships"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tuesday 5 March<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">12:30-13:30<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Forum Seminar Room 10 or Online<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We&#8217;d like to invite you to an informal session introducing the Research Support Internship scheme which provides paid opportunities for students interested in working on academic research at Exeter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The hour will start with a 15-minute presentation covering:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Introduction to the internship scheme and current vacancies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Previous projects and outputs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tips for applications and interview<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Research as a career option<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Relevance of research skills in non-research workplaces<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Further internship and support for widening participation students<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;re unsure but curious about what working in research can look like and whether you\u2019d be interested in this avenue, be sure to come along.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the presentation, there&#8217;ll be time to mingle with staff and other students to ask any and all questions you may have about this scheme, working in research, or further support for you.
