The University of Exeter Law School and the Human Rights and Democracy Forum are delighted to collaborate with the Human Rights Watch Film Festival (HRWFF) London edition (14-24 March 2024) as a Presenting Partner for three films in the festival\u2019s 2024 programme, which UoE students can watch online for free. The full festival programme can be viewed <\/strong>here<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recently marking its 30th Anniversary and currently screening films in over 15 cities around the world, HRWFF bears witness to human rights violations in direct storytelling and expos\u00e9 form, and creates a forum for courageous individuals on both sides of the lens to empower audiences with the knowledge that personal commitment can make a difference. In 30 years Human Rights Watch has showcased over 720 films at its global festivals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the London 2024 edition, the Law School is Presenting Partner for the following three films:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Revolution on Canvas<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Art can be a tool of expression, but it can also be used as a weapon against the artist themselves. Nickzad Nodjoumi searches for his lost artwork with the help of his daughter years after fleeing Iran due to political unrest.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coconut Head Generation<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In COCONUT HEAD GENERATION, director Alain Kassanda immerses us in passionate debates on Nigeria’s societal dynamics, ethnicity, feminism, colonialism and gender.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
