The rights enshrined within the UDHR are expressed as the \u2018foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world\u2019, and the UDHR sets out \u2018a common standard of achievement for all peoples and all nations\u2019 to which \u2018every individual and every organ of society \u2026 shall strive\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To mark this anniversary, the Human Rights and Democracy Forum is organising a poster competition to reflect on the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>UDHR in 2024: existing rights and new rights for the future<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The winner of the competition will be awarded a first prize of \u00a350, and the two runners-ups will be awarded \u00a325 each. In addition, the three competition winners will receive an award certificate. The winning poster will be displayed on the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.exeter.ac.uk\/research\/groups\/law\/humanrightsanddemocracyforum\/\">HRDF website scrolling banner<\/a>. You can get see the winning entries from last year&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.exeter.ac.uk\/lawbulletin\/2023\/12\/08\/winner-of-the-hrdf-ecil-poster-competition\/\">on our webpage here.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color has-background\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Entry information:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"has-very-light-gray-to-cyan-bluish-gray-gradient-background has-background\">\n<li>The competition is open to all University of Exeter undergraduate Law students. BUT you cannot take part in this round if you took part in previous years (sorry!).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All visual materials must have copyright clearance: the easiest way is to use materials available through creative commons. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Posters need to be one A4 page in size, portrait or landscape format, colour or monochrome, and contain max. 76 words of text. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They must be shareable in electronic format, i.e. a pdf file.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please indicate your name(s) on your poster; anonymous posters will be excluded from the competition.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Posters must be uploaded to the padlet on the <a href=\"https:\/\/ele.exeter.ac.uk\/course\/view.php?id=13526&amp;section=13\">IHRD poster competition tile on ELE<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Upload before 4pm (UK time) on Friday 29 November.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The (winning) posters will be presented on <strong>Wednesday 11 December at 15.30 in Amory<br>C417<\/strong> as part of the end of term social event of the Law School.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Organised by the Human Rights and Democracy Forum<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":263,"featured_media":3217,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[3,5],"tags":[395,531,155,229,533,13,529],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v23.0 -
