{"id":4265,"date":"2024-11-26T10:26:12","date_gmt":"2024-11-26T10:26:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.exeter.ac.uk\/lawbulletin\/?p=4265"},"modified":"2024-11-26T10:26:13","modified_gmt":"2024-11-26T10:26:13","slug":"arbitration-competition-17-19-january-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.exeter.ac.uk\/lawbulletin\/2024\/11\/26\/arbitration-competition-17-19-january-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Arbitration Competition: 17-19 January 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Arbitration Competition 17-19 January 2025. <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Deadline for submitting expressions of interest: 5pm on 06 December 2024<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Worshipful Company of Arbitrators (WCA) are running The Arbitration Competition for UK Law Students 2025 to be held at the <a href=\"https:\/\/eur03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.idrc.co.uk%2F&amp;data=05%7C02%7CS.Miller%40exeter.ac.uk%7Cbf8acd24d7084241287508dd0df364de%7C912a5d77fb984eeeaf321334d8f04a53%7C0%7C0%7C638682061186716223%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=9eTBqija8sZXfWLl3WVSlIGqJxNem1Vr2j5jYkOMFJA%3D&amp;reserved=0\">International Dispute Resolution Centre (IDRC)<\/a> in London from <strong>17 &#8211; 19 January 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Team Members who take part should gain:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Enhanced written and oral presentational and advocacy skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A chance to practise advocacy skills and to participate in an arbitration with the opportunity to cross examine witnesses of fact and experts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An insight into how arbitration tribunals work<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A unique addition to their CV<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The students adopt the role of counsel for the parties in the dispute presenting their case in front of an experienced arbitral panel.
