An introduction to Annabella Curcher, this year\u2019s Freshfields\u2019 Campus Ambassador for the University of Exeter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My role is to promote Freshfields\u2019 opportunities for undergraduate students. I am your first point of contact at the University of Exeter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Freshfields<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Freshfields is a magic circle law firm with 33 offices globally and comprises 2800 practicing lawyers. The firm is consistently ranked band 1 in both contentious and non-contentious practice areas, from disputes to public M&A and competition. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The nature of the work at Freshfields is often cross-border and very complex- you will be working with prestigious clients on high-value deals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What opportunities are there with Freshfields?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

First-year students are encouraged to apply to the First Years Scheme. This is a two-day placement open to undergraduates from any degree discipline in their first year of study. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Penultimate year students can apply to Freshfields\u2019 Vacation Scheme. The scheme is paid and runs for a duration of three weeks. You will get a taste of life at the firm, participating in a range of socials and trainee tasks. You will be assessed for a place on the Trainee Associate Programme throughout the scheme. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Final-year students can apply directly to the Trainee Associate Programme. Freshfields is unique for its 8-seat Trainee Associate Programme, where trainees rotate through different practice areas every three months. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How can the Campus Ambassador help you?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am here to support you throughout the application cycle. I will be running events throughout the academic year which law and non-law students are encouraged to attend. The purpose of these events is for me to answer any questions you may have about the firm. This includes but is not limited to the application process, the firm\u2019s culture, or opportunities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
