The three-hour workshop will cover the following areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Human rights careers 101<\/strong><br>You will gain an understanding of the current human rights market, skills, qualities and assets required to work in the sector, lifestyle, remuneration, different human rights roles and top tips to help you as you start out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ace your application materials &amp; Interview preparation<\/strong><br>You will cover the key elements of drafting a compelling human rights CV and cover letter for human rights roles. Vicki has 29 years\u2019 experience in International Organisations (the UN, Council of Europe), the British Government (UK Foreign, Commonwealth &amp; Development Office (FCDO), Human Rights Advisor), National Human Rights Institutions (the Scottish Human Rights Commission), the non-governmental sector (Penal Reform International, Amnesty International, Prisoners Abroad) and academia (currently a Visiting Professor of Human Rights, Birmingham City University). <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Vicki is also passionate about her work as a human rights career coach and has coached and supported more than 350 human rights professionals (and counting) as they navigate their careers in the human rights sector. She is very proud to have helped her clients secure roles with International Organisations, international NGOs and other human rights institutions.
